New Master's Thesis students
At Three P we strive to be a leader in the development of Procurement. As part of this process, we are happy to announce that we have not one, but two, Master’s Thesis projects this year involving two students from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and one from Linköping University. The projects will focus on Sustainability within procurement and on Value Based Sourcing.
From KTH Royal Institute of Technology, we are happy to present Freja Ekman and Victor Carlsson, both studying an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management with a specialization in Industrial Production.
They chose Three P as the optimal partner for their Master’s Thesis which is on the sustainability aspect of procurement, a topic which remains a key focus due to both new regulations and increasing demands within the supply chain. The purpose of the master thesis is to break down the sustainability goals in procurement decisions, with a specific focus on the CO2 reduction. They believe that, by utilizing both internal and external drivers, a more sustainable and dynamic procurement strategy can be formalized, clearly highlighting the importance and benefits of CO2 reduction.
Focusing on Value Based Sourcing we are happy to present Adam Grinde who is studying for an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management with a specialization in Strategy & Management. Adam will explore the value that strategic procurement delivers and how to measure the actual benefits from a strategic approach to procurement beyond the standard measurements that exist today, such as savings and cost reductions. To achieve this, Adam will analyze category structures, procurement processes, and structural capital, benchmarking these factors to better understand how a strategic approach to procurement contributes to business value and how it can be effectively measured.
We are excited to have Freja, Victor and Adam onboard and look forward to seeing the outcome of their Master’s Thesis.
